In 1994, he completed the master's program at the Department of Mathematical Engineering and Information Physics, Graduate School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, and joined Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc. in the same year. Since 2009, he has also been a visiting associate professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. After working as a senior researcher at the Mitsubishi Research Institute, in 2013, he moved to the Department of Social Informatics, Faculty of Letters, Chuo University, as an associate professor. He has been working as a  professor of the same department in 2014. From 2019 he is a professor at the Dept. of Global Informatics, Chuo University. He specializes in user interfaces, open-source software, IT human resource development, data analysis, etc.

TWtrends: The Twitter Trends Visualization System

TWtrends is a visualization system that collects Twitter’s trends. It has been operated since 2019, and currently, you can access it via https://twt.iiojun.com/. The system was implemented using Ruby on Rails, and related tools were written in the combination of various programming tools, including Ruby, Python, etc. This talk presents an overview of the system and some relating topics.
